Minoxidil Biorga 5% is indicated in cases of hair loss or weakening of the hair on the top of the head or in cases of generalized weakening of the hair.
It is a peripheral vasodilator, and therefore is indicated in adults aged between 18 and 65 years.
Contact your doctor if you do not notice any improvement or if you notice a worsening of the symptoms after 4 months.
It is not indicated in cases of alopecia areata (sudden or unexplained hair loss) or cicatricial alopecia (associated with skin with healing characteristics, such as a burn or an ulcer). Furthermore, it should not be used if the hair loss is associated with pregnancy, childbirth or serious conditions, such as thyroid dysfunction, lupus, hair loss associated with inflammation of the scalp or other conditions.
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, or if you are breast-feeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Its mode of action involves the regulation of the biological cycles of the hair, prolonging the Anagen growth phase and minimizing the passive Telogen and Catagen phases.
