Luan 2.5% gel is indicated to facilitate endourethral maneuvers (introduction of catheters, dilations, cystoscopy, etc.).

It is indicated for esophagoscopic intubations and for curative anesthesia, pharyngoscopy, tracheo-bronchoscopies, gastroscopy and rectoscopy, and in all endoscopic indications of an exploratory and curative nature.

It combines the lubricating action with the anaesthetic action.

Active ingredient

Lidocaine hydrochloride 2.5 g

Excipients

Sodium carmellose, glycerol, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium benzoate, water depurata.

How to use

Push the ointment directly into the urethra by squeezing the tube and massaging the posterior urethra at the same time, applying a urethral clamp for 10 minutes, after which the desired endourethral maneuvers can be performed. The contents of the tube are sufficient to completely fill the urethra.

In order to facilitate the introduction of the medicine and to eliminate the pain that can be caused by the contact of the metal tip of the tube with particularly painful parts, the package is supplied with a plastic extension to be screwed onto the tube itself at the time of use.
