Vaseline oil is indicated to reduce defecation effort or when it is necessary to empty the intestine before radiological, endoscopic examinations, and surgical interventions, or even in case of constipation.
It forms an emulsion with the feces in the intestine, softening the mass.
It also has a lubricating effect which facilitates the expulsion of feces.
How to use
Use for short treatment periods, and avoid giving this drug to children unless there is constant medical monitoring.
