Adjuvant shampoo based on substances of natural origin, ideal as a cosmetic adjuvant in the treatment of flaking conditions of the scalp, such as scalp psoriasis. Based on Ichthyol, Sichuan Pepper, Honey and Mandelic Acid.

Use test under dermatological control of a reducing and soothing shampoo which assists the treatment of flaking conditions of the scalp.

Study conducted on 20 patients with psoriasis/psoriatic dermatitis of the scalp, application: 3 times a week for 4 consecutive weeks.

The results highlighted:

• Diffuse regression of the typical signs of psoriasis in 70% of treated subjects;
• No feeling of discomfort;
• Decrease in the skin flaking index (-39.33%);
• Decrease in the surface occupied by scales (-32.43%);
• 95% of patients say that Mellis Cap reduces itching;
• 90% of patients say that Mellis Cap reduces irritation.

Composition

Mellis cap contains:

• Ichthyol: is a derivative of mineral tars,  made up of fossilized aquatic organisms. It has the extraordinary ability to reduce all manifestations of excessive flaking of the skin;
• Sichuan pepper, or mountain pepper: it is a plant used for millennia in Chinese medicine. Contains a precious active ingredient (Zanthalene) effective in reducing itching, the skin hypersensitivity that manifests itself in the form of itching;
• Honeydew honey: it is a particular type of honey with important hydrating, softening and soothing properties; helps keep the scalp soft and protected and mitigate irritation;
• Mandelic acid: it is an organic acid present in bitter almonds. It is widely used in both the aesthetic and dermatological fields for its keratolytic properties. It works by dissolving the horny plaques and facilitating the elimination of scales.

How to use

Apply to damp hair, massage for a few minutes and rinse.

Use 3/4 times a week. Do not use in children under 3 years of age.
