Gaviscon oral suspension is indicated to provide quick relief from the symptoms of occasional heartburn. It forms a protective barrier that floats on the stomach contents hindering their ascent into the esophagus.
Active ingredients
100 ml contain 500 mg of sodium alginate and 267 mg of sodium bicarbonate.
Excipients
Oral suspension: calcium carbonate, carbomers, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium saccharin, flavoring fennel, sodium hydroxide, erythrosine, purified water.
How to use
Adults and adolescents (12-18 years): 10-20 ml (second-fourth notch of the measuring cup or 2-4 measuring spoons) after meals and at bedtime.
