How to fight cellulite
Cellulite is a disorder of the subcutaneous adipose tissue that mainly develops in the upper abdomen, thighs and buttocks.
Cellulite is a blemish that manifests itself with the presence of visible depressions and holes on the skin which create the typical "orange peel" appearance
Causes
Cellulite is caused by a combination of factors including poor diet, smoking, poor physical activity, poor functioning of the lymphatic and venous microcirculation. When the microcirculation is insufficient, the fat cells break down and their contents pour into the space between the cells, attracting more water and creating inflammation. In women it can often happen that, despite a correct lifestyle and healthy diet, this blemish is difficult to combat. The main cause in this case is the hormonal action of estrogen and more generally, female sexual hormones.
Remedies
To combat this unsightly pathology and prevent its progression to the more advanced stages we can first of all:
- improving our lifestyle, abandoning unhealthy eating habits and practicing physical activity regularly;
- use anti-cellulite creams that help reduce blemishes locally
- bring the right amount of water to our body, so as to be able to eliminate waste substances through diuresis
Anti-cellulite creams
Many anti-cellulite creams contain specific active ingredients, which intervene gradually on the problem.
The main active ingredients are the extracts of:
- Avocado, almonds, jojoba and shea, essential for improving skin tone;
- Horse chestnut, butcher's broom, ivy and centella which improve blood circulation;
- Algae, caffeine and tea which promote the reduction of the thickness of the adipose tissue
Anti-cellulite and pregnancy creams
It is essential to choose anti-cellulite creams during pregnancy with great care and attention as not all the ingredients used are compatible with pregnancy itself. For example, an apparently harmless ingredient such as caffeine should be avoided, especially if in a high or very high dosage. The same goes for products based on iodine and thyroid hormones and more.
So are anti-cellulite creams banned during pregnancy? Absolutely not! but you must choose only those that do not involve risks.
