Enantyum tablets based on dexketoprofen trometamol, is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic drug, belonging to the class of NSAIDs.
It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of pain of mild to moderate intensity, such as headache, menstrual pain, joint pain, toothache.
- Adults: The recommended dose is typically 25 mg every 8 hours. The total daily dose should not exceed 75 mg.
- Children: the product must not be used in children and adolescents.
- Elderly: In elderly patients it is recommended to start therapy at the lower limit of the therapeutic range (50 mg total daily dose).
Composition
Each tablet contains:
Active ingredient: dexketoprofen 25 mg as dexketoprofen trometamol.
Excipients: Corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, glycerol distearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, macrogol 6000.
How it works
Dexketoprofen trometamol acts on pain by decreasing the production of certain substances called prostaglandins.
How to use
The recommended dose is generally 1 tablet (25 mg) every 8 hours and no more than 3 tablets per day (75 mg). If symptoms persist for more than 3 - 4 days or if your symptoms worsen, consult your doctor. The tablets should be taken on a full stomach. In case of severe pain, it can also be taken on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before meals to allow the medicine to act more quickly.
