Tachipirina oral drops 100 mg/ml is suitable for administration to children in case of fever or pain of various kinds from mild to moderate. Contains the active ingredient paracetamol which works by reducing fever (antipyretic) and relieving pain (analgesic).
Formulation
Tachipirina drops contain sorbitol, therefore they must not be administered to patients suffering from severe fructose intolerance.
The medicine also contains propylene glycol which can cause side effects similar to alcohol.
Excipients
Propylene glycol, Macrogol 6000, Sorbitol, Sodium saccharin, Vanilla citrus flavouring, Propyl gallate, Caramel (E150a), Sodium edetate, Purified water.
How to use
Use in children (from 3.2 kg and less than 12 kg).
In children it is essential to respect the dosage defined on the basis of body weight and not on the basis of age, which is approximate and indicated for information purposes only. If the child's age does not correspond to the weight shown in the table, always refer to body weight when choosing the dosage.
